Data Deletion Policy
Effective Date: January 1, 2026 | Last Updated: March 2026
This page explains how Gilery handles data deletion, in compliance with Google Play Store policies, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA), and GDPR.
1. Our Core Promise
✅ Gilery has no user account system. We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or any personal identifier. This means there is no "account" to delete — your anonymity is built-in by design.
2. What Data Exists & How to Delete It
A. Search History (Local — on your device only)
Your search history is stored only in your device's local storage (browser/app cache). To delete it:
- Android App: Go to Settings → Apps → Gilery → Storage → Clear Data / Clear Cache
- Browser: Clear your browser's site data for gilery.onrender.com
- Uninstall App: Uninstalling the app automatically deletes all local data
B. Ghost Chat Messages
All Ghost Chat messages are automatically and permanently deleted from our servers within 30 seconds of being sent. No action is needed from you. After 30 seconds, even Gilery cannot recover these messages.
C. Server Logs (Technical)
Anonymous server logs (which do not contain personal identifiers) are automatically deleted within 7 days. No action needed.
D. Location Data
Location is processed in real-time and never stored. There is nothing to delete.
3. Submit a Formal Data Deletion Request
If you believe any of your data exists on our servers (e.g., from a server log containing your IP address), you may submit a formal deletion request:
- Email: asoom3916@gmail.com
- Subject: "DATA DELETION REQUEST"
- Include: Date(s) of use, approximate time, your IP address if known
We will process your request within 30 days as required under DPDPA 2023 and confirm deletion in writing.
